Tempo love story unfolds with Film Club

Film Club Productions, London-based animation production company, has directed and animated a commercial for tissue brand Tempo commissioned by its agency Publicis London.

The 30-second TV commercial “Bike” created by director Vida Vega is the first in a series for the new pan-European ad campaign and launches across mainland Europe in countries including Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

The commercial -Tempo Bike-, “As Life Unfolds”, literally folds and unfolds on a Tempo tissue showing how Tempo is a constant, caring companion throughout life. The idea is executed through hand-drawn animated stories brought to life by Vida Vega’s signature style of calligraphic brushwork and exquisite 2D animation.

Film Club's Vida Vega worked with Publicis agency creatives Paul Burch and Paul Quarry to capture Tempo’s reputation as a long-established and trusted brand in a commercial that would effectively engage consumers on a more emotional level.

The animation “Bike” promotes the Tempo Hanky Classic pocket packs of tissues. It brings to life a classic boy meets girl love story as it shows the bicycling boy racing to catch up with the girl, helpfully dispensing Tempo tissues to people he passes on the way. The ad ends with the tissue folding back into the pack and the endline 'Tempo. As life unfolds'.

The campaign is supported by outdoor executions with print also created by Vida Vega. Film Club productions produced the commercial while post production was completed at Film Club, th1ng and Framestore.
